Going Out

IN THE SWING The Swing Cats’ repertoire spans hits from the 1920s to contemporary classics.

Following sell-out performances in Westport over the past three years, The Swing Cats will return to Westport Town Hall Theatre on Saturday, November 2.
With a musical timeline of swing classics from the 1920s to the modern day, their show will feature the music of Louis Armstrong, Fred Astaire, Bobby Darrin, The Rat Pack, Michael Buble, Paolo Nutini and more.
With regular sell-out shows at The National Concert Hall, Olympia Theatre, a recent headline slot at The Cork Jazz Festival and a No 1 album under their belts, The Swing Cats are delighted to return with their smash hit show to Westport.
Lead singer Luke Thomas is delighted to be coming back to Westport. “We just love playing for the enthusiastic Westport audience – we are so happy to hear that we have people coming back to see our show every time we get down to Mayo, and our audience keeps growing,” he said, adding: “Westport has to be our favourite destination to bring our musical timeline show.”
The band promises to play a host of classics, including ‘King of the Swingers’, ‘Puttin’ on the Ritz’, ‘When The Saints Go Marching In’, ‘Mack the Knife’, ‘I Can’t Take My Eyes Off You’, ‘Mr Bojangles’, ‘New York, New York’ and many more, along with original hit songs from their album ‘Dance With Me’.
Boasting a fan-base that include President Michael D Higgins, Louis Walsh and Michael Bublé, The Swing Cats, led by award-winning vocalist Luke Thomas, have amassed a huge international following thanks to their distinctive sound and style, steeped in the golden age of swing music and spanning almost 100 years.

Show starts at 8pm. For tickets, contact the Westport Town Hall Theatre box office on 098 28459 or visit www.westporttheatre.com.
