FLOWER POWER The Hothouse Flowers are among the big-name acts taking to the stage in Claremorris.
Claremorris folk festival returns this weekend
The Claremorris Folk Festival 2021 will feature 26 musical acts this coming weekend, September 4 to 5. The main stage will be in a specially erected marquee at Warde’s Bar in the Square, with two further stages at Gilligan’s Bar and the Market Square.
The festival line-up includes some of the country’s finest acts, and will be a real treat for so many who have been deprived of outdoor music festivals for so long. On the line-up are The Hothouse Flowers, Luka Bloom, Moxie, Daoirí Farrell, Niamh Regan, Malojian, Robocobra Quartet, Blackbird & Crow, Jolie Collins, Anna Mullarkey, Aengus Devine, Maria Kelly, Dani Larkin, Woven Kin, Niwel Tsumbu, Myles Manley, Paddy Dennehy and Nora Staunton.
To ensure the event could go ahead this year, the organisers have reduced capacity to comply with Covid regulations. As an indication of the demand for the return of live music, both Saturday and weekend tickets have already completely sold out. However, a limited number of tickets are still available for Sunday, which will feature performances from The Hothouse Flowers, Myles Manley and Daoiri Farrel, to name but a few.
While the main stage in Warde’s Bar is ticket-only access, the Market Square will have free live music and a craft market from 1pm on both Saturday and Sunday, ensuring a fun weekend for all the family.
