Mayo musicians are coming together in Westport to present Jamming for Syria, an evening of entertainment to raise funds for victims of the war that has raged for almost six years. The event is one of dozens of similar gigs that have been organised by Downdaroad Productions around the country this week, with scores of artists playing and giving their services for this worthwhile cause.
The Westport event will take place in Matt Molloy’s tomorrow night, Wednesday, January 18, with Hats, Grainne Fahy, Dean and Rosa Kinsella, Elaine Griffin, Train Room, Ray O’Brian, Liam Bolger and many more taking part.
All money raised will go directly to provide aid for the victims suffering in Syria. For more information, visit
