Patch (a small five-year-old terrier-type female) and Scruff (one-year-old terrier male) came to MADRA from a very bad home, where they had lived all their lives locked up together in a cold, dark shed, as their owner just didn’t know any better. However, they’re both blossoming now, and getting used to new experiences, like food and fresh water every day, and the sights and smells of the big outside world.
Whether rehomed separately or together, they would both love a calm, warm, loving forever home with patient humans, soft couches, plenty of cuddles and a garden to enjoy. They would probably be best suited to homes without the excitement of children, where they could learn the pace of life in their own time. If ever two dogs deserved some love and affection, it’s this little pair.
Patch and Scruff are just two of many Mayo and Galway rescue dogs at Connemara-based Mutts Anonymous Dog Rescue and Adoption (MADRA) looking for a loving home. All dogs will be neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. Please see www.madra.ie, visit MADRA’s Facebook page or call or text Marina on 086 8149026.
