MAYO will begin the defence of their Connacht Senior Championship title on Sunday, May 4 next year at Gaelic Park, New York.
The Connacht GAA Council have confirmed that the defending champions will make their first trip to the Big Apple since 2009 at the beginning of May, and hundreds of fans are expected to be among the travelling party for the transatlantic trip.

Meanwhile, James Horan’s side will play their first game of the 2014 season just two days after returning from their team holiday in Dubai.
The All-Ireland finalists will begin their FBD League campaign against the students of NUI, Galway on Friday, January 10 under the floodlights at McHale Park, Castlebar.
Mayo will be in action again less than 48 hours later when they take on IT Sligo at Fr O’Hara Park, Charlestown at 2pm.
The Connacht champions conclude the group stages of their FBD League campaign on Sunday, January 19 against Roscommon in Ballinlough at 2pm.
Elsewhere, Niall Heffernan’s county U-21 footballers will mark their return to the Hastings Cup next month when they entertain Cavan on Saturday, January 11.
