Anton McNulty has been a journalist with The Mayo News since 2006.
A native of Achill Island, Anton is a graduate from the University of Wolverhampton where he had work experience with The Daily Express and BBC Manchester. Anton was a recipient of the Local Ireland Best News Series of the Year in 2019 for coverage of the T-Ten Funding debacle.
He was the first journalist at the scene of the R116 helicopter crash off Blacksod in 2017 and reported extensively in the aftermath of the disaster.
Anton has covered numerous local, General and European elections as well as regularly attending local council meetings. He also has years of experience of reporting on court cases in the Circuit and District in Mayo as well as in the Coroner's Court.
