The Mayo under 20s will take to the field in Croke Park on Sunday for the All Ireland under 20 final against Kildare throwing in at 1:15pm. Michael Solan’s squad are underdogs but after their fearless and fervent performance in beating Derry in the semi final they appear to be quietly confident of delivering another underage title for the county.

Páirc Seán Mac Diarmada was the place to be for Mayo football supporters last Saturday afternoon. Those who made it to Carrick-on-Shannon got to witness a pulsating All-Ireland U20 semi-final contest, in which Mayo's young guns beat off a strong challenge from Derry to emerge the winners by three points.

Mayo's wanderings through the qualifiers over the last few summers have given the county's loyal followers plenty of memorable days out.
