AUDIO Football Podcast #22 Mayo U20s special

Sport - Football Podcast

Páirc Seán Mac Diarmada was the place to be for Mayo football supporters last Saturday afternoon. Those who made it to Carrick-on-Shannon got to witness a pulsating All-Ireland U20 semi-final contest, in which Mayo's young guns beat off a strong challenge from Derry to emerge the winners by three points.

The Mayo News football podcast was there and in this episode we bring you the story of the game as well as post-match reaction to the win. Host Rob Murphy and John Gunnigan of the Mayo GAA Blog describe how the 2-14 to 2-11 win happened, after which we hear from manager Mike Solan, Man of the Match Oisin McLaughlin and proud dad John Maughan. Wrapping up this episode, Rob and John are joined by Ger Flanagan of the Mayo News to reflect on the game on what was a satisfactory day for the county.
