Mayo team unchanged for final

Mike Finnerty

THE Mayo team to face Cork in Sunday’s National Football League Final is unchanged from the side that beat the Rebels two weeks ago.
That means that the likes of Keith Higgins (knee), Ronan McGarrity (hamstring), Enda Varley (hamstring) and Aidan Kilcoyne (shoulder) — who are all recovering from injuries — will all have to be content with a place on the bench at Croke Park.
John O’Mahony has not yet named his nine substitutes for Sunday’s game but the likes of Kenneth O’Malley, Pat Harte, Alan Freeman, Barry Moran and Neil Douglas are likely to join the aforementioned quartet on the bench.
Meanwhile, Club Mayo Dublin have nominated Dicey’s Beer Garden in Harcourt Street as the Saturday night pre-match meeting point for informal drinks and football chat.
All Mayo folk and friends are invited to come along (especially those travelling to Dublin for the match and looking for a rendevouz)
Plus, Sunday’s match will be broadcast live on Mid West Radio on Sunday afternoon with coverage beginning from Croke Park at 2pm.
