Polranny, Achill Island
Michael was proprietor of Óstán Oileán Acla and had battled serious illness for a number of years with great courage.
He was son of Marie and the late Harry McLoughlin.
Michael is deeply mourned by his wife, Una; sons, Cathal and Michael; mother, Marie; sisters, Mary and Lelia; aunt, Hannah; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; nieces, Serena and Sharlene; cousins; extended family, neighbours and many friends.
Huge crowds gathered at Lavelle’s Funeral Home in Cashel on Sunday evening to pay their respects to Michael and sympathise with his family.
Concelebrated Requiem Mass for the repose of his soul took place in the Church of Mary Immaculate, Achill Sound, yesterday, and burial took place afterwards in Polranny Cemetery.
Donations in Michael’s memory may be made to the Oncology Ward, Mayo General Hospital.
