Newbrook, Claremorris
Farming was his way of life and he had a good knowledge of the land and the livestock scene. He enjoyed the company of the rural fraternity and talking about the things that matters most to people of the land.
A man of independent thought, Michael had a wide variety of opinions on many subjects and was well versed in what was happening in the locality and around the country and further afield.
He always looked forward to meeting neighbours in Peter Tuohy’s pub and enjoyed socialising in the company of friends. Michael was a man of pleasant disposition who was well liked in the neighbourhood. Sympathy is tendered to his family on their sad bereavement.
A wake was held in the family home and removal took place from Gilligan’s Funeral Home to Robeen Church with burial in the local cemetery following Requiem Mass celebrated by Fr Paddy Sheridan.
He is survived by his bothers, Willie and Seamus; sister, Mary; relatives, neighbours and friends.
