Ballynagran, Claremorris
One of family of nine, she was predeceased by her brothers Tony, Laurence and John and by her sister Nora who died in England.
Anne, who was the youngest of the family, had resided in Ballynagran for many years after spending some time away from home in earlier times.
Of a deeply religious nature, she liked to help out with church activities and was on the rota of Eucharistic Ministers for several years in St Colman’s Church. Tidying the flower beds and taking an interest in other matters in the church grounds also took up much of Anne’s time on her visits to town.
She enjoyed travelling with some of the senior groups on their regular tours and excursions from Claremorris to various destinations and also journeyed on a music holiday to America some years ago.
In former times, she took an interest in matters relating to the land and farming and retained a strong identity with country life and caring for the environment.
Removal took place from Gilligan’s Funeral Home to Claremorris church with the funeral proceeding to Tulrahan cemetery following Requiem Mass celebrated by Fr James Quinn, Taugheen and assisted by Fr Michael Molloy, PP, Roundfort.
She is survived by her sisters Molly, Christina, Sarah and Peg, relatives, neighbours and friends.
