The death has taken place in Leeds, England, of Mossie (Tommy) Hughes, a native of Cloonskill, Aughagower, Westport.
Mossie (78) emigrated to the UK at the age of 17.
He is survived by his family James, Ann, Thomas, Kevin and Stephen, brothers Henry (Galway), Seamus (Aughagower), Charlie (Ipswich), Petie (Florida), Padraig (Castlebar) and Francis (Westport), sisters Bridgie (Aughagower), Maureen (Ballinrobe) and Kitty (Wicklow), son-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews, to whom sympathy is extended.
Burial tool place in Leeds following Requiem Mass in Corpus Christi Church, Osmondthorpe, Leeds.
Mossie will be fondly remembered by the large Irish community in Leeds and by the many people from his native county who had the pleasure of meeting him through his pub or taxi business or through his involvement with the Leeds Irish Centre.
