Westport men to get the wax work treatment

Male masochists wax for Childline

FANCY torturing some hairy men! Stripping them of those forests of follicles that carpet their legs. Childline’s National Anyman’s Leg Wax Appeal is such a worthy cause, despite the amount of fun involved.
About time the boys discovered what we girls regularly endure. And – ouch! – fair dues to Westport’s volunteers. Leg Waxing for Childline will take place on Sunday, May 16 next in O’Grady’s Bar, on the Mall in Westport.
The victims – er participants – are John Morley, Gerry McLoughlin and Liam O’Donnell from The West Bar; Paddy Joyce, aka Sticks, from Toby’s Bar; Alan Cusack from Westport Rugby Club; Tom Higgins and PJ Foy from the GAA Club; as well as Kieran Mulchrone and Brendan Tierney.
Supporters and torturers, for this fundraising drive, may pay on the night for the sheer enjoyment of taking ‘take strips off’ whoever their preferred victim is. Sponsorship cards will also be available coming up to the event.
Childline seeks to empower and support children using the medium of telecommunications and information technology. Over the past 22 years, the Childline service has evolved and now offers a range of services to reflect the way young people communicate in this century. The services include a Childline phone, text, and online service.
These services are confidential, anonymous and free of charge to each and every child in Ireland .
