THEY haven’t gone away you know. In fact, the Mayo public better get used to seeing the familiar faces of Padraig Flynn and his daughter Beverley over the next few days.
The retiring Bertie Ahern made good on his promise to re-admit ‘Bev’ to the FF fold and tonight (Tuesday) will see the Parliamentary Party formally ratify his recommendation. Whether the new Taoiseach goes one step further and appoints Deputy Flynn to his re-shuffled cabinet is now the question on everyone’s lips.
And fresh from putting his painting talents under scrutiny last Friday night in the Linenhall Arts Centre, Padraig Flynn will face a more gruelling scrutiny today in Dublin Castle when he appears before the Mahon Tribunal.
