GARDAÍ in Mayo have confirmed that they have been in touch with two people who wish to make a statement regarding donations made to the House of Prayer in Achill, but denied that any complaints have been made.
It is believed that the couple donated the money after being told by the men that the House of Prayer was in financial difficulty.
“These were professional people there. Everyone wanted to give, even money set aside for their children’s education. We now believe we were funding Christina Gallagher’s lifestyle,” said the former follower.
Superintendent Pat Doyle told The Mayo News.
“Gardaí in Mayo have received no complaints regarding the House of Prayer but two people have been in touch with the Gardaí in Achill, and have indicated that they wish to make a statement. Arrangements are being made to have these statements obtained, and any matters which arise will be fully investigated,” he said.
