A Claremorris woman has been named as one of Ireland’s most powerful women at this year’s Women’s Executive Network (WXN) 2017 Ireland’s Most Powerful Women Top 25 Awards.
Global Marketing Director of Kingspan, Louise Foody, is originally from Claremorris but moved to Dublin a number of years ago with her husband Thomas Glynn after a number of years abroad.
Ms Foody was acknowledged as one of Ireland’s top 25 most influential and successful women in the Business Leaders category at an awards dinner, hosted by Women’s Executive Network, in the InterContinental Hotel Dublin, on Thursday, June 22.
Commenting on Louise’s win, Gene Murtagh, CEO of Kingspan said: “We are absolutely delighted that Louise has been recognised on a national stage for her fantastic business acumen and leadership skills. Louise is a key member of the Kingspan team and has played an important role in the company’s growth and global expansion seeing the company’s share price more than treble in the last five years.”
Ms Foody joined Kingspan’s first ever graduate programme 12 years ago and has risen through the ranks to her current role where she manages a team of over 40 people working across the 70 countries where Kingspan now operates.
Kingspan is a company which specialises in innovative building systems that drive energy conservation in millions of homes and commercial properties and can be found on some of the world’s most iconic buildings.
Major current initiatives which Louise is pioneering include the development of a new digital strategy and the company’s first ever customer experience programme.
The Women’s Executive Network is an innovative networking, mentoring, professional and personal development organisation. In 2008, WXN launched in Ireland and was then launched in London, UK, in 2015, creating an international community of female leaders.
