Beat breakouts naturally

Spots – not just bane of the teenager, they can strike any time. Inflammation under the skin that occurs when a pore becomes infected by dirt or bacteria. This can happen when the oil gland inside the pore produces excess sebum, as can happen during adolescence, pregnancy and menstruation. Stress can also bring on a breakout – a cruel irony, as the condition itself can be quite stressful.
During consultations, I’ve sometimes found that the product the sufferer is using can actually be aggravating the condition. Using the wrong product can cause further infection and sensitivity to the skin. If you suffer from breakouts, try to use ‘non-comedogenic’ creams and sun lotions. Most importantly, never squeeze a spot – you can make matters worse.
A proper skin assessment is also important to determine a treatment plan. However, the following treatment is easy for anyone to carry out at home and can offer some relief. After the treatment, redness and swelling should noticeably reduce.

Home treatment
1. Apply warm compress to drain the blemishes
2. Crush an uncoated aspirin with a spoon in a bowl
4. Add water and create a paste
3. Apply paste and massage, rinsing with warm water afterwards
From experience, breakouts and acne can be sorted out easily, once the cause has been  determined. After a consultation, I like to recommend a combination of natural tinctures and topical herbs to purify, cleanse and clear up persistent breakouts.
