DIY secrets for sparkling skin

Sparkling Skin
Our skin can start to look tired and lifeless as we age. This can be exacerbated by makeup, foundation in particular, which is actually absorbed into our skin, accumulating in dead skin cells. This gives a very tired look to the skin.
One of the chief culprits for this form of dulling is a lack of exfoliation – the outer layer of the skin can build up extensively if not exfoliated on a regular basis. To keep your skin vibrant and healthy you must regularly apply a good skin care programme, and for glowing skin, that means exfoliating at least two or three times a week.
For a more radiant complexion, use a gentle herbal approach, as harsh exfoliations can cause skin damage. These two natural, DIY secrets, will keep your skin sparkling and revitalised in between professional facials.

Lemon rub

Lemon has exfoliating properties. Rub half a lemon on your face with a hint of sugar granules to remove dead skin cells. This is also a great way to get rid of fake tan. You can also use on hyper pigmentation areas (dark spots) to lighten the skin.

Milk blend
Blend some turmeric powder with milk and apply to the face to remove fake tan and reduce blemishes. Cucumber juice is a fantastic astringent, which means it is brilliant for tightening the pores. Add to the mix and feel your skin tighten.
