New Sunset Hotel are a four-piece indie rock band from Castlebar comprised of Mark Calvey (guitar), Ian McDonnell (drums), John Murray (vocals/piano),Tommy O’Hora (bass).
The band are fresh on the scene, forming only last august and recording their debut EP in Grouse Lodge Studios, Co Westmeath last November – a studio that can also boast Michael Jackson as a former client.
They have spent the last few months working on their live set and have just released their debut single - ‘The Bitter End’. An original song written by the members of the band, the single last week entered into the Irish charts – quite an achievement for a debut single from a new band.
Needless to say, the lads are thrilled with the success of the record and hope it's a sign of things to come.
