Jack L announces second Castlebar show

Due to popular demand, Jack L is adding an extra date at the Linenhall Arts Centre in Castlebar on Wednesday, June 23 at 8pm. The first concert, scheduled for Tuesday, June 22, is now sold out.
Jack L (L for Lukeman) is widely regarded as one of the greatest – and most theatrical – performers ever to have graced a stage. He has performed to sell-out crowds in America and had a crowd of 40,000 nestled in the palm of his hand at Ireland’s Witness Festival. He is one of only a few distinguished artists to have performed at the Glastonbury Festival for three consecutive days.
This remarkable Irish singer, who has drawn comparisons to legendary talents including Frank Sinatra, Jacques Brel, Scott Walker and Nick Cave, is renowned for his exceptional live performances. He has seven acclaimed albums to his credit. The latest, ‘The Story So Far’, is a collection of his best material to date.
Jack L’s distinctive songs and electrifying vocal style have set him apart from in the Irish scene. Hot Press calls him ‘an artist as unique as Ireland has ever produced’, The Irish Times crowns him a ‘musical force of nature’ and the Irish Independent says “he is perhaps the most singular talent to have emerged from Ireland in the past decade.” A Jack L concert in the intimate setting of The Linenhall, performing an acoustic set promises to be very special indeed.
