Going Out

ON THE LINE-UP  Cathal Gavin, Young Mayo Person of the Year, will perform at the fundraiser.

A fundraising concert in aid of Cuan Mhuire’s centre in Coolarne, Galway, will be held on Saturday, February 22, in the Castlecourt Hotel, Westport at 8pm.
The star-studded line-up includes TR Dallas, PJ Murrihy, Matt Keane, Mick Mulhern, Young Mayo Person of the Year Cathal Gavin and the All-Ireland Champion Set Dancers. MC on the night will be Mayo News correspondent and Midwest Radio DJ Michael Commins. Tickets for the event are available from the Westport Plaza Hotel and various other outlets throughout the county, as well as from Cuan Mhuire, Coolarne.
A voluntary organisation, Cuan Mhuire was setup by Sr Consilio back in 1966, and from humble beginnings, it has grown to be Ireland’s largest provider of addiction residential rehabilitation and treatment services. Its main objective is the rehabilitation of individuals suffering from alcohol, drug and gambling addictions.
At any one time Cuan Mhuire has in excess of 600 people in its centres nationwide. As a voluntary organisation, each year Cuan Mhuire, Coolarne, has to fundraise vigorously to ensure adequate funding for the day to day running of the services it provides for those suffering from addiction and their families.
The support of the people of Co Mayo and surrounding areas would be very much appreciated for this event. A great night’s entertainment is anticipated.
