Kilbane to peform in Ballycastle church

Going Out

COUNTRY STAR James Kilbane is looking forward to spreading seasonal cheer in north Mayo.

Award-winning Mayo country singer James Kilbane will present a Christmas-themed evening of music and song in  St Bridget’s Church, Ballycastle, on Sunday, December 15. This seasonal evening is being staged to help with the costs for much-needed renovation work at the church, which was built in the 1930s.
Recently named Irish Gospel Singer 2019 at the Irish Entertainment Awards, Kilbane’s sound continues to be popular with music lovers across the country as well as abroad.
“I’m so looking forward to returning to north Mayo and Ballycastle to sing. Christmas is such a special time. A time for home, family and community. Singing for St Bridget’s is so important,” said the singer, adding that fundraising for a local church is ‘all part of our Irish life and community’.
In recent years, Kilbane has been involved with the production of several RTÉ Christian broadcasts promoting country Gospel music, and since 2005, he has released 13 studio albums.
The Ballycastle concert will feature a warm selection of country music and many timeless Christmas favorites – a wonderful start to the Christmas season. All support is welcome and greatly appreciated.

Doors 6.30pm; concert starting at 7pm.
