‘Finding the Light’, an exhibition of work by two local artists, Bernie Harness and Deena Kilroy Prenty, opens this Friday evening in the Clew Bay Hotel at 7.30pm. The guest speaker will be architect and artist Noelle Angley.
Born in Furnace, Newport, Deena Kilroy Prenty now lives in Carrowholly. Her favourite medium is oils, and she loves to use colour to capture mood. In this exhibition, most of her artworks are Westport streetscapes at dusk, as well as a couple of mixed media pieces.
Bernie Harness was born in Derby in the UK and raised in Ballinrobe. After living in London for over two decades, she eventually moved back to Mayo, settling in Westport. Her artwork in the upcoming show include paintings and collage.
‘Finding the Light’ is Harness and Kilroy’s second show, and it follows their successful debut exhibition in the same venue a year ago.
