CRAFTY Westport House’s annual festival celebrates craft beer and artisan tipples.
Westport House will host the seventh annual Gráinne Ale Craft Beer Festival on Saturday and Sunday, May 4 and 5, the May Bank Holiday weekend.
It’s all happening at Gracy’s Pizzeria & Bistro, located in the estate’s farmyard, where festival revellers can taste some old favourites and new brews. Much-loved regulars include Mescan, Reel Deel, Longueville House and Black Donkey, while for the first time at the Gráinne Ale, guests can look forward to sampling Lough Gill Brewery’s delicious beers from Sligo, as well as local Loch Measc Distillery’s scrummy vodka and gin.
The organisers are busily putting together two full days’ musical entertainment, and will reveal the full schedule in the coming days. They will also be firing up the wood-fired pizza oven for some mouth-watering bites to accompany the robust and flavoursome selections of beers, cider and spirits on offer. As usual, the team at Gracy’s will be serving a full bar and soft drinks to complement the crafty brews.
