FUNNY FELLAS The 2 Johnnies will perform in Castlebar this Friday night.
Irish comedy duo The 2 Johnnies are bringing their new show ‘Get Loose’ to Castlebar’s TF Royal Theatre this Friday, March 8.
Johnny B (O’Brien) and Johnny Smacks (McMahon) from Tipperary are known for their comedy sketches and songs that capture the uniquely funny side of all things Irish. Fresh off the back of two sell-out nights of their live podcast show in Dublin, their Christmas show in Whelan’s sold out to full capacity in 24 hours, and now the boys have set off on the highways and byways of Ireland for their first ever nationwide tour.
Over the past year-and-a-half, the guys have performed in Ireland, the UK, the USA and the UAE to capacity audiences. Their YouTube channel has had over 8 million views and their ‘2 Johnnies Podcast’ has been No 1 in the Irish podcast charts for 38 weeks in a row. As The Farmer’s Journal says, “If you don’t know who The 2 Johnnies are, it is for one of two reasons... you are either not on social media or you’ve been living under a rock.”
In ‘Let Loose’ – a mix of sketches, stand-up comedy and song – the audience will meets Mr Chairman and the self-proclaimed hardest man in hurling ‘Noel’ as they try new ways to raise funds for their club, as well as farmers Tom and Gerry on a recruitment drive for more farmers with their hit single ‘The Silage Song’ – and many other characters.
Over 12s only; under 16s accompanied. Tickets, from €23 including booking fee, are available from Ticketmaster and the Royal Theatre box office, 094 902 3111.
