MUSICAL PRESENCE Word about Fresh Evidence is spreading fast.
The Town Hall Theatre Westport is hosting young upcoming rhythm and blues band Fresh Evidence—a band causing a stir and fast gaining a big fan base—this Friday, September 2.
Fresh Evidence started out innocuously playing their first gig at a talent show two years ago without even the added benefit of practising. They now play a solid, well-rehearsed show with an enviable following and a great musical presence.
The three musicians—guitarist and lead vocalist, Paddy Warde; drummer, Thomas Cannon; and bassist, Luke McKeown—have a love of all things music.
The boys started out playing in pubs and clubs around Westport, and eventually made it to this year’s Rory Gallagher International festival in Ballyshannon where they supported the Pat McManus band.
They’ve also headlined Culture Night 2015 at Westport Town Hall and played support to touring UK band Too Much Lipstick in October 2015.
Since then they have being working on their eagerly anticipated EP ‘Small Town Paranoia’, which is to be released next month.
Here’s a chance to hear a young band at the beginnings of something great in their home surroundings. Their message is simple: Keep the music real and keep the music soulful.
The band will be supported on the night by another up-and-coming local youth band, Stanaway and Co.
Tickets (a10/a8/a5) are available at the Westport Town Hall Theatre box office on 098 28459, and online at www.westporttheatre.com.
