Ted Courtney hosts Classical Covies evening
This Thursday, April 24, Westport Classical Covies will put on what promises to be a most enjoyable and lighthearted evening of music appreciation in The Wyatt Hotel at 8pm. Proceeds from the evening will go towards the Holy Trinity Church Restoration Fund.
Ted Courtney, RTÉ broadcaster, pianist and regular conductor of the RTÉ Concert Orchestra, will be present to guide the audience through some of the great music we all know, but would like to know more about.
With his inimitable style, Ted will tell the stories of the great composers and the great performers, and those stories too that lie behind the immortal music that has enriched the world, illustrated by his selections of recordings and film from the RTÉ libraries.
Ted Courtney is well known for his presentations around the greater Dublin area, but this will be the first time for music buffs to see and hear him in Westport.
Tickets, €10 each, are available from the Wyatt Hotel in advance or on the night, and both Classical Covies and the Holy Trinity Committee are hoping for a full house.
