Signed Rolling Stones guitar for Haiti auction

A guitar, signed by the Rolling Stones, will be auctioned this week on Midwest Radio to raise funds for the Gena Heraty Haiti Fund. Midwest Radio has already raised almost €175,000 for the appeal following a successful giant car boot sale and support from numerous groups and individuals who hosted fund-raising events throughout the region.
The guitar is a Fender Squire model and is framed in a glass case and features the signatures of Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Ronnie Woods and Charlie Watts.
The guitar was bought at a charity function in America by the owner of Westport U.S. Tools, Noel Staunton.  “Gena is a neighbour of mine and I am happy to donate the guitar to raise funds for her work.  She is an inspiration to us all.”
The auction, which has a reserve, will start on Midwest Radio’s Paul Claffey Show today, February 23.  Bids will also be taken online at www.midwest radio.ie
