An Coillín, Castlebar Mr Pat McGreal, An Coillín, Castlebar, who died on December 13, 2012, was a member of a well-known Westport family.
Aged 51 years, he was son of the late Martin and Kitty McGreal, Lower Peter Street/Church Lane, Westport.
Pat had a range of interests in his life. He loved music and had a passion for motorbikes and cars. He also had a great love of animals, especially dogs.
He will be sadly missed by his brother Gerard McGreal (Westport), sisters Breege Staunton (Islandeady), Esther McDonagh (Islandeady) and Mary Vahey (Westport), extended family and friends.
Following repose at McGing’s Funeral Home, Westport, removal took place to St Mary’s Church, Westport, where Fr Karl Burns officiated at the reception ceremony.
The concelebrants of Pat’s Funeral Mass were Fr Micheál MacGréil, Fr Karl Burns and Fr Pat Donnellan, Parish Priest of Islandeady. Family members participated in the funeral liturgy, reading the lessons and prayers of the faithful and bringing the offertory gifts to the altar.
Pat was laid to rest in the family grave in Aughavale Cemetery.  May his gentle soul have peaceful rest.
