Horslips to play in Castlebar

Win tickets to Horslips in Castlebar

Hot on the heels of their electric performance at the Westport Festival of Music and Performing Arts – where their finale song, ‘Dearg Doom’ brought the tent down and left fans hollering for ‘more slips’ – legendary Celtic rockers Horslips are back in Mayo for another date. This time they’re heading to the Royal Theatre, Castlebar, for a bank-holiday-weekend  gig on Sunday, August 5.
It’s hard to believe it’s been 40 years since the Horslips released their debut album, ‘Happy To Meet … Sorry To Part’, and even harder to believe they took a break from the music scene for 29 years. The band reformed in 2009, and their return has been triumphant. It’s as though they never left.
