Henry McGladeUp-and-coming Irish Punk band Beanz on Toast is comprised of three hard-working souls from Dunmore, Co Galway. Ever since forming the band in 2007, David Boyle (guitar and vocals), Eugene Kerrigan (drums and vocals) and Ian Kelly (bass and vocals) have been heavily involved in nurturing the small punk scene that has sprung up in their area and promoting their music throughout the Mayo/Galway punk scene.
The lads describe their music as ‘anthemic punk’ influenced by such bands as The Galway Punx, Leftover Crack, Choking Victim, Rancid, The Casualties, Cut The Reins, Carry No Banners, The Infested, No-Ca$h and Oi Polloi.
Beanz on Toast are set to release a 14-track album called ‘Safety Pins and Forgotten Sins’ on Carry No Records, a Galway-based independent record label run by three brothers. Keep your eyes peeled for news of the album and of the band’s live performances – a number of gigs in Mayo and Galway are in the pipeline.
